This was the photo on the front of the anniversary card that Julia gave to me today. Pretty much sums it up . . . she's hot stuff (except that she's hott with 2 t's) and I'm loverboy. We can dream, can't we?
I may be old now but I'm one and a half times the man that I was the day that we married, that is if you measure manhood in pounds. OK, maybe that's not something I should be bragging about but I was too skinny back then even if I'm too heavy now. Julia, on the other hand, is still looking pretty good. She may be a tiny bit "fluffier" but she has aged well.
In an age when half of the marriages don't last, I'm thankful that ours has and I look forward to many more years together. Each season of our lives and marriage brings both new challenges and new adventures, and both are good for us. Challenges can make us stronger and more agile, adventures keep us young. I'll admit that I'd trade some of the challenges for more adventure but a healthy balance of both is a successful recipe for life.
May your life be full of adventure and with just enough challenges to keep it interesting!
